What transducers are available for the Mindray M8 Elite?
The M8 Elite supports 18 transducers: convex (C5-1s, C6-2Gs, C11-3s micro-convex, D7-2s volume), linear (L9-3s, L12-4s, L14-6Ns, L14-6Ws, L16-4Hs hockey stick, L20-5s), phased array (SP5-1s single crystal, P8-2s, P10-4s), endocavity (V11-3Ws), TEE (P7-3Ts adult, P8-3Ts pediatric) and non-imaging CW (CW2s, CW5s).
What is the difference between the Standard and Advanced configurations?
Both share the same hardware and core imaging software. The Advanced configuration adds the cardiac package: Continuous Wave Doppler, Free Xros M, Tissue Doppler Imaging with QA, Tissue Tracking (strain/strain rate), Stress Echo, an ECG lead with physio function key, and DICOM Query/Retrieve with cardiac structured reports.
How long does the M8 Elite battery last?
The built-in lithium-ion battery is rated for 90 minutes of scanning. Mounting the system on the UMT-500 Plus cart adds an extended life battery pack for significantly longer scanning time away from an outlet.
Is the M8 Elite suitable for echocardiography?
Yes. With the SP5-1s single crystal phased array, Echo Boost, TDI, Tissue Tracking QA, Auto EF, LVO contrast and stress echo, the M8 Elite is a capable cardiac platform. TEE is supported with the P7-3Ts (adult) and P8-3Ts (pediatric) probes.
Can the M8 Elite be used on a cart?
Yes. The UMT-500 Plus mobile cart features an integrated quick-locking system, extended battery pack, transducer holders, printer storage and an optional PEM-51 module for three active transducer connectors.
