Advanced Imaging. Unmatched Precision. Total Portability.

The Acclarix AX9 is a high-performance diagnostic ultrasound system built for clinicians who will not trade image quality for mobility. Engineered for cardiology, vascular, OB/GYN, MSK and general imaging, it delivers console-class detail from a system you can carry into any room.

The system carries a single transducer port for hand-carry work. Add the optional cart and that becomes three ports, so a cardiac probe, a linear probe and a curved probe can all stay connected and be switched from the touch screen. Dual batteries carry the system through a full shift, and a 35-second cold start means it is scanning before the room is set up.

  • SynSight™ Zone Sonography beam-forming for clarity and depth penetration
  • Automated cardiac tools — Auto EF, Auto LVOT-D and Auto VTI TDI
  • Only 4.8 kg with a 35-second cold start
  • Dual battery system supporting up to 8 hours of continuous scanning
  • 15.6″ high-resolution LED monitor with 0°–180° tilt
  • 12.3″ back-lit multi-touch control panel

Next-Level Imaging with SynSight Zone Sonography

The AX9's powerful beam-forming algorithm reshapes how the image is built, improving what you see at every depth.

  • Contrast & lateral resolution — clearer tissue differentiation
  • Full-field dynamic focusing — no physical focus adjustments needed
  • Uniform image quality — consistent performance from near field to far field

SynSight™ delivers deeper penetration, sharper detail and faster reads — without asking the sonographer to keep tuning the machine mid-exam.

Automated Cardiac & Vascular Measurement

The AX9 is built for cardiology and vascular diagnostics, with automated tools that take the repetitive work out of complex measurements.

Auto EF — instant ejection fraction calculation
Auto LVOT-D & Auto VTI TDI — streamlined stroke volume and flow velocity assessment
PW & Color Doppler — real-time blood flow visualization
ECG integration — synchronized cardiac waveform analysis

Shorter scan times, fewer keystrokes, and measurements that are reproducible between operators.

Portable All Day, Powerful All the Way

At 4.8 kg, the AX9 is one of the lightest high-performance ultrasound systems available, and its rugged, folding chassis is built for the way point-of-care work actually happens.

  • Bedside ultrasound and POCUS
  • Emergency and critical care units
  • Mobile and rural healthcare settings
  • Sports medicine and MSK imaging
  • Dual battery system — up to 8 hours of continuous scanning
  • 35-second cold start, ready to scan in under a minute
  • Large on-board storage for thousands of patient exams and images

Workflow Designed Around Your Hands

The AX9 is built for efficiency and comfort, with an intuitive touch interface and a layout you can shape to your own protocols.

  • 15.6″ high-resolution LED monitor — adjustable 0°–180° tilt for any viewing angle
  • 12.3″ multi-touch control panel — back-lit for dim and darkened rooms
  • Single transducer port on the system — expands to three ports on the optional cart for instant probe switching
  • Customizable cart — semi-automatic height adjustment and flexible storage
  • Dedicated exam presets and measurement packages

Designed for ease of use, from occasional users to full-time sonographers — the controls you reach for are the ones on screen.

Buying the AX9 from UDS

Every system UDS sells is inspected, tested and supported by our own service team in Vista, California. We have been in the ultrasound business for over twenty years, and we are independent — so the system we recommend is the one that fits your practice, not the one on a quota sheet.

New and preowned AX9 configurations, probe packages, training, financing and in-house service all come from the same place. One phone number for the life of the system.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many transducer ports does the EDAN Acclarix AX9 have?

The AX9 system itself has one transducer port. The optional cart adds a three-port connection, so a cardiac, linear and curved probe can all stay plugged in and be switched from the control panel.

How long does the AX9 run on battery?

The dual battery system supports up to eight hours of continuous scanning. Battery configuration varies by system, so confirm what is included on any specific unit when you request a quote.

How much does the EDAN Acclarix AX9 weigh?

The AX9 weighs approximately 4.8 kg (10.6 lb), making it one of the lightest high-performance portable ultrasound systems available.

What is SynSight Zone Sonography?

SynSight is EDAN's beam-forming technology on the AX9. It improves contrast and lateral resolution, applies full-field dynamic focusing so no manual focus adjustment is needed, and holds uniform image quality across the depth of the image.

What automated cardiac measurements does the AX9 offer?

The AX9 includes Auto EF for ejection fraction, plus Auto LVOT-D and Auto VTI TDI for stroke volume and flow velocity assessment. PW and color Doppler and ECG integration are also supported.

How fast does the AX9 start up?

The AX9 cold-starts in approximately 35 seconds, so the system is ready to scan in under a minute from a full power-off.

Which transducers work with the EDAN Acclarix AX9?

The AX9 shares the Acclarix Q-series probe family with the AX8. Curved array options include the C5-2Q, C5-2XQ and C6-2MQ; linear options include the L12-4HQ, L12-5HQ, L12-4BQ, L12-5WQ, L17-7HQ and L17-7SQ; the E10-3HQ covers endocavity work; and cardiac imaging is handled by the P5-1XQ, P12-4Q and the P7-3MQ trans-esophageal probe.

Does the AX9 support a TEE probe?

Yes. The P7-3MQ trans-esophageal transducer operates at 3–7 MHz for trans-esophageal cardiac studies and can be quoted with the system.

Is a transducer included with the AX9?

Probes are quoted separately so the system matches your exam mix. The AX9 uses the Acclarix Q-series probe family, including curved, micro-convex, linear, high-frequency linear, endocavity, phased array and trans-esophageal options.

Can the AX9 be used on a cart?

Yes. A customizable cart with semi-automatic height adjustment and flexible storage is available for the AX series. The cart also expands the system from one transducer port to three, and can be quoted with the system.
