EDAN Acclarix AX2 Ultrasound Machine
The Acclarix AX2 puts point-of-care color Doppler imaging in a 4.5 kg magnesium alloy body with a 15.6-inch 1080p monitor and a 10.1-inch touch screen. It shares the AX3 platform and imaging engine, with a single transducer port instead of two — the practical choice when your workflow runs on one probe.

Born of a vision to deliver meaningful design innovations that benefit the user, the Acclarix AX2 makes day-to-day operation in point-of-care environments easy, fast and intuitive. Form and function meet at the tips of your fingers.
Compact, with a 4.5 kg lightweight magnesium alloy body, the AX2 delivers a surprising combination of features to meet the demands of point-of-care imaging — engineered with a relentless focus on delivering uncompromising performance at a cost-effective price for every sonographer.
AX2 or AX3? The Difference Is the Transducer Port
The AX2 and AX3 are the same Acclarix platform — same monitor, same touch screen, same TAI imaging engine, same chassis and same probe family. The AX3 adds a second transducer port so two probes can stay connected and be switched from the touch screen. If your exams run on a single probe, the AX2 delivers identical image quality for less.

Stunning Clarity & Definitive Image Quality
Built around EDAN TAI technology and multiple image-processing technologies, the Acclarix AX2 displays ultrasound images across modes with the detail sonographers need for a precise diagnosis.
- High-fidelity, high-channel-count architecture for superb detail resolution, particularly at depth
- Tissue Adaptive Imaging (TAI) continuously and automatically optimizes imaging so you can focus on the patient
- In B-mode, TAI fine-tunes multiple parameters to hold the best possible image quality
- In Doppler, TAI adjusts for flow state, improving continuity, border detection and fill-in
Workflow Designed Around Your Hands
The 10.1-inch touch screen carries the controls you actually use, and it can be rearranged to match how you work.
- eOptimized — one-key optimization across imaging modes
- PW auto trace — one-key automatic measurement
- eTouch — swipe gesture control
- Virtual TGC sliders and on-screen QWERTY keyboard for text entry
- Customizable interface layout with clear function division
- Dedicated exam presets and measurement packages
Portable All Day, Connected All the Way
- Lightweight magnesium alloy body — 4.2 kg / 9.3 lb without battery, adapter or transducer
- Dual-battery design supports 2+ hours of continuous scanning
- Boots in under 30 seconds, so the system is ready when the patient is
- 100+ GB high-capacity storage on board
- Transfer by USB, DICOM 3.0 and optional Wi-Fi

Clinical Applications
The Acclarix AX2 delivers value and performance across a broad range of point-of-care and general imaging applications.
Compatible Transducers
The AX2 uses the same Acclarix Q-series probe family as the AX3. One transducer connects at a time.
Clinical Images from the Acclarix AX2
Vascular, small parts, abdominal, OB and endocavity studies acquired on the AX2 with C5-2Q, L12-5Q, L17-7Q and E8-4Q transducers.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many transducer ports does the EDAN Acclarix AX2 have?
The Acclarix AX2 has one transducer port, so one probe is connected at a time. The Acclarix AX3 is the same platform with two ports.
How long does the AX2 run on battery?
The dual-battery design supports more than two hours of continuous operation using 14.8 V, 5000 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Systems typically ship with one battery; the second is available separately.
How much does the EDAN Acclarix AX2 weigh?
The main unit weighs 4.2 kg (9.3 lb) without battery, power adapter or transducer, and about 4.5 kg configured. The chassis is lightweight magnesium alloy.
What is Tissue Adaptive Imaging?
Tissue Adaptive Imaging (TAI) is EDAN's automatic optimization technology. In B-mode it fine-tunes multiple parameters to hold image quality; in Doppler it adjusts for flow state to improve continuity, border detection and fill-in.
Does the AX2 support DICOM?
Yes. The AX2 supports DICOM 3.0 along with USB transfer and optional Wi-Fi, and exports images and clips as JPG, BMP, AVI or PDF.
Is a transducer included with the AX2?
Probes are quoted separately so the system matches your exam mix. The AX2 uses the Acclarix Q-series probe family, including convex, linear, phased array and endocavity options.
Can the AX2 be used on a cart?
Yes. An optional trolley for the AX series is available and can be quoted with the system.
